Transimex’s “Green Logistics” Strategy
Transimex has recently launched its Long An cold storage facility, a state-of-the-art warehouse with a capacity of 56,000 pallets, located in the Vinh Loc 2 Industrial Park, Ben Luc District. Equipped with an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS), the facility uses robotics to optimize storage and retrieval processes. The real-time inventory management system ensures accurate tracking of goods, improving customer satisfaction.
The company has invested over VND1 trillion in this facility to strengthen its logistics network and enhance its competitive edge in key economic regions. Transimex prioritizes adopting advanced technologies, automation, and full digitalization of its operations. This approach is complemented by ongoing research and development to meet evolving market demands.
Recognizing the global trend towards a green economy, Le Duy Hiep, general director of Transimex, emphasized the company’s commitment to green logistics and climate change adaptation. This includes leveraging advanced technologies and renewable energy to protect the environment.

Aligned with its green strategy, the Long An cold storage facility has a rooftop solar power system, allowing it to operate on clean energy and reduce its environmental footprint.
Over the last five years, Transimex has systematically transitioned its frozen and refrigerated warehouses to solar power, easing the load on the national grid. This initiative now spans multiple logistics centers, with a total installed solar capacity of 5,016 kWp. These facilities generate approximately 7,164 MWh of clean energy annually, reducing CO2 emissions by about 5,760 tons.
Additional measures include deploying trucks and containers manufactured by European Union (EU) companies that meet strict emission standards and adopting lithium-ion battery-powered forklifts to minimize heavy metal pollution.
Transimex integrates sustainability into its operations and promotes corporate social responsibility among employees and the broader business community.
Through collaboration with over 30 of the world’s major shipping lines and expanding its operations to more than 50 global markets, Transimex has cemented its reputation as Vietnam’s leading logistics provider.
Hiep highlighted the value of the HCMC Brand Awards to Transimex. “Since receiving this prestigious award in 2023, we have remained committed to upholding its standards while striving to enhance our brand, services, and competitive edge,” he said. “Our goal is to maintain this recognition in the years ahead.”
To expand its global reach, Transimex leverages its membership in organizations like the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), the International Air Transport Association (IATA), and the World Cargo Alliance (WCA) to promote its services internationally. The company actively participates in industry-specific global exhibitions.
Beyond business, Transimex demonstrates a strong commitment to the community through various charitable initiatives, such as providing scholarships for underprivileged children, building homes, and participating in blood donation drives.
